Manage personal and social feature permissions in SharePoint 2013

​Farm Administrator or service administrators of user profile service application can have access o create my sites use social features. We can add users and grant permissions to create my site by enabling Create Personal Site permissions.

We can configure the user permissions for personal and social features using the steps below.

Navigate to Application management in Central Administration and click on Manage service applications

Select the User Profile Service application service to manage permissions in the list of service applications.

On Manage Profile Service: UserProfileApp page select Manage User Permissions link in people section.

On the Permissions for User Profile Service Application page, enter an user or group and click on Add button.

Select permissions in permissions box for the user in Permissions for UserProfileApp dialog box and click on Ok.
